PHTA invites you to Capitol Hill — Mar. 29-30, 2023

The Pool and Hot Tub Alliance is hosting the PHTA Day on the Hill March 29-30 in Washington, DC. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet with members of Congress, explain the impact the pool and hot tub industry has on the national economy, and share the issues that are most important to you and your business.

All meetings are being arranged by PHTA and its federal lobbyist DCLRS. All you need to do is show up.

Important Topics

PHTA will tailor meetings to each person to make sure your voice is used effectively. They are also focusing on three federal items during the Day on the Hill:

• Virginia Graeme Baker (VGB) Reauthorization Act: This requires every public pool in the U.S. to install safe drain covers that prevent suction entrapment and initiates a grant program incentivizing states to adopt pool safety laws.

• H-2B and Summer Work Travel (SWT) Seasonal Visas: PHTA is advocating to expand the number of seasonal visas for each program and work with the State Department to improve processing at the consulates.

• HOMESAct: PHTAis advocating for the inclusion of swimming pool appliances in the Home Efficiency and Electrification Rebate Program.
