has over 17 years of experience in biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, immunology, and biopharmaceutical research with over 7 years in the water treatment industry, including 3 years at Occidental Chemical Corporation’s trichloroisocyanuric acid plant. She has contributed to over six peerreviewed publications, with two as a co-author, and has given presentations at WAHC, NEHA, AOAP and others.
She is currently an active member of Alpha Chi Sigma Professionals chapter (professional chemistry), a former member of the CMAHC Chlorine Stabilizers Ad Hoc Committee, and Technical Director of the Isocyanurate Industry Ad Hoc Committee, and is active with the PHTA Recreational Water & Air Quality Committee.
Tom (Ph.D., inorganic chemistry) has over 35 years of experience in the water treatment industry (pool/ spas, drinking water, and cooling towers), chiefly with the chlorinated isocyanurates, including 15 years at Occidental Chemical Corporation’s trichloroisocyanuric acid plant. His responsibilities have included product and application research, field trials, technical service, manufacturing support and regulatory support.
He has co-authored 11 peerreviewed publications, 6 U. S. patents and 15 presentations at water treatment conferences.
He is Technical Chairman of the Isocyanurate Industry Ad Hoc Committee and is active with the PHTA Recreational Water & Air Quality Committee. He is a former member of the CMAHC Chlorine Stabilizers Ad Hoc Committee; the Disinfection By-Products Consortium; the NFPA 400 Technical Committee on Hazardous Chemicals; the American Chemistry Council, Chlorine Chemistry Division’s Disinfection Working Group; and the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) Legislative/ Regulatory Committee.
