CAN YOU TOP THIS?
Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the Service Industry News “Horror File. ”
This issue’s entry comes to us from Matt Rozeski of Penguin Pool in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
“Went to a service call for an auto cover that wasn’t operating correctly, it was thought that the 12 year fabric needed be replaced,” Matt writes.
“The customer was trying to get another year out of the unit and read online that the tracks should be greased occasionally for smoother operation.
“When we showed up to the job, the customer informed us that he had used axel grease (the red stuff) at the end of last year. Everything was coated with dirt and dust from the grease. The tech wasn’t happy and the customer finally agreed that they should get new fabric.”
At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, spaghetti plumbing, rats in heaters, cars in the pool, snakes in the plumbing, and more!
