Filter down 3-5 microns using Zeolite’s ZeoSand

Zeolite of McKinney, Texas offers ZeoSand, a natural zeolite filter media, that can replace sand in pool water filtration. ZeoSand’s rapid acceptance by the filtration industry comes from the improved water clarity it provides: filter down 3 to 5 microns with ZeoSand versus 20 to 40 microns with standard sand.

The high dirt holding capacity and shorter backwash timeofZeoSandmeanslesswaterisusedtoimproveclarity.

ZeoSand filters better than sand because the surface area is about 100 times greater than sand—more surface area means there are more places for the dirt to be trapped and more dirt holding capacity. ZeoSand has a BET specific surface area of 29.3 M2/g or about 2.5 NFL football fields per pound. This huge surface area traps small dirt particles in the nooks and crannies of the ZeoSand surface.

The “halo” seen around the pool light will be dramatically reduced by the second night after installation.
