NPC’s start-up certification class for pool technicians

The National Plasterers Council (NPC) offers a comprehensive Start-Up Technician Certification Program that outlines proper procedures for interior cementious pool finish initial start-up. NPC’s program is considered the global industry standard for pool start-up best practices and care, presented in an eight-hour in-person Certification class, or a three-hour online session.

Start-Up Technician training experts teach much-needed skills based on years of experience and research that apply to both newly constructed and refinished pools, plus the knowledge and methods of industry veterans who know how to ensure that pool plaster cures properly.

The course discusses history, plastering materials, application basics, water chemistry, test kits & testing, start-up procedures, the Langelier Saturation Index.
