This issue’s entry comes to us from Rick Waibel Pools of Rick Waibel Pools in Springfield, Ohio.
“We installed all new equipment including a salt water sanitation system on a pool. The electricians ran a brand new service to the equipment pad with a new panel box. As soon as I plugged the salt system into the GFCI outlet the circuit board exploded. Upon further investigation we determined that the electrician reversed the wires and had the GFCI outlet and all of the 120v circuits (including the LED underwater light powered with 240V!! The light blew up also!”
