CAN YOU TOP THIS?

Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the Service Industry News “Horror File.”

This issue’s entry comes to us from Dave Nelson of Nelson Pool and Spa in Napa, California.

“Today we came across this Minimax heater from 2001 working marvelously. Do our eyes deceive us? It is well known in the pool service industry that we all hate these heaters. Even the factory admits that they are horrible. But this one is working like the day it was made, still structurally in almost new condition, installed outdoors. Normally in the horror file we focus on items that are poorly installed and don't work, so today we celebrate the contrary. However unexpected that may be.”

That is really funny Dave — Thank you so much for always remembering our Horror File. Happy New Year!

At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, spaghetti plumbing, rats in heaters, cars in the pool, snakes in the plumbing, and more!
