Did you know you can learn Cardio- Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at home using the American Heart Association Adult & Child CPR Anytime Kit?
Designed for self-directed learning, the kit teaches CPR, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and choking relief — all in about 20 minutes of self-directed instruction.
CPR Anytime kits are intended for personal use and informal training. They are portable and easy to share with family, friends, or small groups, making them a convenient way to spread lifesaving skills within a household or community. (Note: the kit does not provide a certification card required for workplace compliance.)
Typical contents of the Adult & Child CPR Anytime Kit include:
• Instructional video or digital learning program (English/Spanish)
• Mini Anne personal CPR mannequin
• Skills reminder card
• Replacement lung for the mannequin • Sanitizing wipes Did you know that the American Academy of Pediatrics supports swim lessons for many children starting around age 1?
Swim lessons can provide an additional layer of protection around water. However, they do not “drownproof” a child and are not a substitute for constant, close, and capable adult supervision. They are an early step in a child’s ongoing water safety and swimming education.
Did you know you can hire a lifeguard for your pool party? Many companies offer certified lifeguards for private events, providing an added layer of supervision when pools are in use. Pool parties can create distractions — hosts may be preparing food, greeting guests, or socializing — and a crowded pool is often more difficult to monitor, not less.
A trained, attentive lifeguard focused solely on the water can help identify trouble quickly and respond immediately. While not a replacement for responsible hosting and supervision, having a dedicated watcher can significantly improve safety when multiple swimmers are present.
