World Waterpark Association event headed online

The World Waterpark Association announced that the WWA Show will be a virtual event this year. The show will celebrate its 40th anniversary online from October 6 to 8, 2020..

Show organizers say that the online event will feature the same high-quality content, with educational sessions and networking opportunities.

“Cancelling the in-person portion of this year’s show was not what we had hoped for, but like so many of our members, we’ve continued to adapt to challenges as they arise,” said Damien Latham,Chair, WWA Board of Directors.

The show was originally planned to take place over the same dates in Las Vegas. But current public health advisories and travel restrictions as well as Nevada state mandates prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people have prevented an in-person event.

Rick Root, President of the Association, said they are still excited about the opportunities that a virtual show experience may offer its members.

“This virtual format will allow everyone, regardless of their location, to safely participate in our educational sessions and spend time connecting with each other through our online networking opportunities,” Root said.

Registration costs for the WWA40 virtual show begin at $249 for park and supplier members. The ticket price includes full access to all events over the course of the show.

There are also sponsorship packages available, allowing suppliers to support the event and to connect with attendees.

“Going forward, we’ll shift our attention to delivering a virtual show experience that will honor our strong commitment to providing the best educational and networking opportunities available to you as a water leisure professional.

Look for more details coming soon about our WWA40 virtual experience,” Latham said.

Hopefully WWA’s 41st Annual Symposium & Trade Show will be inperson and is scheduled to take place October 19-22, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.
