For back flow prevention: ‘The Smart Check’ valve

The Smart Check

® valve, from Magic Plastics, Inc., of Valencia, Calif., provides quiet, reliable backflow prevention without the inline restriction of a conventional check valve.

With the use of high powered magnets, the Smart Check remains in the closed position to 2 PSI, opening fully when 2-lb. line pressure is exceeded. A springloaded gate mechanism allows the valve to be installed in any orientation. The valve is also available in a nonmagnetic, ½ -lb. spring-loaded version.

These valves are rated at 150 PSI at 73°F and are available in ½-in. through 3-in. IPS sizes. All Smart Check valves are also available as a Swing-Check, without spring. Minimum order quantities apply.

Magic Plastics’ Vipeproof

™ locking union technology, which prevents a union from loosening or backing out during vibration, is available in a variety of the company’s products including pump unions, uni-body valves, unions, high heat union assemblies and Smart Check valves.

Magic Plastics, a family owned and operated injection molding company, has been manufacturing quality products since 1985.
