CAN YOU TOP THIS?

Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the

Service Industry News “Horror File. ”

This issue’s entry comes to us from Kevin Harwood of San Diego Hot Tubs in San Diego, California.

“ We got a call from a homeowner saying that their hot tub hadn’t been used in a while and that they

wanted it looked at to see what was working,” writes Kevin.

“When we got there this is what we saw.

“We later found out from the homeowner that it had been 8 to 9 years since it was last used.

“The good news for the homeowner was that it didn’t leak a drop that whole time.”

Thank you for sending this Kevin. It sure is amazing how long people let things sit!

How was the smell when you removed the cover?

Other publications like to print lots of pretty pictures of beautiful pools, spas and well engineered installations.

At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, tree roots, spaghetti plumbing, rats in the heater, cars in the pool and more!

When you are out in the field and you see something that doesn’t look right, send us an email along with a picture and a brief description: Attention Horror File, serviceindustrynewscd@yahoo.com.
