CAN YOU TOP THIS?

Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the Service Industry News “Horror File. ”

This issue’s entry comes to us from Fred Wright, of Clear-Tech Pools in St. Petersburg, Florida.

“Good Afternoon, I thought this might give you a laugh,” writes Fred.

“In the 35 years of being in the pool business I have seen a ton of bad installs. This makes me laugh, I can’t believe that this contractor got paid.

“What skimmer? Wouldn’t you think this might have had someone asking the question, “should we move this upright?” I can actually hear someone say “No that’s fine right where it is!” You know the old saying, “it looks good from my house”, that’s probably what contractor was saying to himself.”

Thanks Fred, other publications like to print lots of pretty pictures of beautiful pools, spas and well engineered installations.

At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, spaghetti plumbing, rats in heaters, cars in the pool and more!

When you are out in the field and you see something that doesn’t look right, send us an email along with a picture and a brief description: Attention Horror File, serviceindustrynewscd@yahoo.com.
