Pleatco and longtime co-sponsors GENESIS / Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), and media partner AQUA Magazine, have opened the search for the 2022 best-of-the-best pool and spa service professional nationwide and extending as far as Canada.
Since 2007, Pleatco and cosponsors have been shining a spotlight on a segment of industry professionals who are more accustomed to working in the shadows.
The contest is an innovative way to honor the hardworking men and women of the pool and spa service industry.
Nominate any professional in the industry such as:

• Yourself
• A family member
• A friend
• A wonderful pool store clerk
• A passionate pool association member
• An enthusiastic young achiever
• A seasoned pool service veteran
• A fantastic pool store owner
About the Contest:
This year’s Perfect PoolGuy and Perfect PoolGal will each receive a deluxe trip to Las Vegas to attend the International Pool Spa Patio Expo, November 11-18, 2022. The fully paid trip includes seven nights for two people and flights from anywhere in the U.S. Winners will be the guests of honor at the awards ceremony and special Alumni Presentation Dinner. This is the top prize for both PoolGuy and PoolGal winners.
Winners have additional amazing incentives for nominating themselves or colleagues in the 2022 Perfect PoolGuy/Gal contest such as a nationwide advertising campaign in 2023, a $700 Visa card, and $1,000 in a Pleatco product. They’ll also gain free access to the Genesis Basic Construction School course, valued at $2,700 each, as well as an Informa Super Pass to the 2022 International Pool Spa Patio Expo.
Four finalists will also be chosen from the ranks to win a paid trip to Las Vegas for seven nights for the award presentation at the International Expo on November 16 and an opportunity to attend either Genesis’ Certified Maintenance Specialist Complete Course, CMS, or Genesis’ Certified Service Technician Complete Course, CST.
Each year, the Pleatco Perfect PoolGuy/Gal Search has grown and continues to illuminate the strengths and passions of the pool service industry.
