Blueray XL ™ Mineral Purifier ™ and Catalyst ™ is a 7-in-1 product that will keep working for up to sixmonths.

Flocculant; Oxidation Catalyst; Phosphate Neutralizer; pH Stabilizer; Lignin Neutralizer; Water Polisher (COD) Reducer. Shelve life: 5+ years

For swimming pools, clean the cartridge when filter canister pressure reaches 8 PSI above the initial system or new cartridge starting pressure. For spas, establish a routine cartridge cleaning schedule based on the amount of spa usage.

Remove the cartridge from the filter housing following the manufacture’s instructions.

Use a garden hose with a straight flow nozzle to wash down the filter element. Work from the top down, holding the nozzle at a 45 degree angle, and wash all the pleats with emphasis between pleats.

Rinse until all dirt and debris is gone. Soak the element for at least one hour (over night is more effective) in (1) a commercial filter cleaner; or (2) one cup trisodium phosphate (TSP) to five gallons water; or (3) once cup dishwasher detergent to five gallons of water.

Rinse If the filter has a coating of algae, calcium carbonate (residue from calcium hypochlorite), iron, or other minerals, soak the cartridge in a solution of one part muriatic acid to twenty parts water until all bubbling stops. WARNING: Failure to remove all oils and cleaning solution before acid soaking will result in a permanent restriction of water flow and cause premature cartridge failure.

Rinse the cartridge clean and reassemble housing. For more information contact, Unicel Filters, 21701 Prairie St, Chatsworth, CA 91311. Phone 800-3456650. Online at www.unicelfilters.com.

‘PureEnzymes’treatment for up to 500 gallon spas

Pure Enzymes for Spas is a monthly spa treatment for up to 500 gallons. Enzymes treat spa water filled with organics like sunscreen, sweat, urine, and debris from plants and trees. These organics put a high demand on chlorine, which means you must increasingly use more. Waters Choice Spa Enzymes will break down the organics in your water, freeing up the chlorine to do what it does best. This allows you to use less chlorine, which is so much better for you and your spa.

Start with clean filters. Then add 1 (12oz.) bottle per month, balance pH (7.2 – 7.8) & alkalinity (80 – 120) and maintain .5 -1 ppm chlorine. One – 12 oz. bottle of Pure Enzymes for Spas treats 500 gallons per month. This application is great for any spa.

For more information contact, Waters Choice, .8425 Vincent Street Boise Idaho 83709. Telephone 208-949-2800. Online at www.waterschoice.com
