CAN YOU TOP THIS?

Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the Service Industry News “Horror File. ”

This issue’s entry comes to us from Chris Dodge of Poseidon Pool Care in Orange, California.

“I guess the builder thought this motor would last forever because they trapped it above and behind and allowed no room for extraction. The pump predates unions so let the cutting begin.”

Thanks Chris. It sure is hard to see that pump through all of that jangled mess. We would love to see what you did to repair it. Drop us an updated email and photo when you get a chance.

At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, spaghetti plumbing, rats in heaters, cars in the pool, snakes in the plumbing, and more!

When you are out in the field and you see something that doesn’t look right, or something that makes you scratch your head and ask “Why would someone do that?” , send us an email along with a picture and a brief description of 5-10 lines describing the picture and how you came across the situation to: Attention Horror File, serviceindustrynewscd@yahoo.com.
