Spa & Sauna Co. partners with Make-a-Wish

A Nevada hot tub retailer helped make a dream come true this December for a 4-year-old girl with cerebral palsy.

The Spa and Sauna Company partnered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to donate a hot tub to a Hadlie Tallman, a little girl in the city of Sparks who loves warm water.

Her mother, Jesi Tallman, says Hadlie’s favorite time of day is bath time.

“We came up with a hot tub with Hadlie’s wish grantors and it’s just going to be amazing for her,” Tallman said.

The Spa and Sauna Company teamed up with Q& D Construction and 3D Concrete to deliver and install the “Hot Spring Limelight Beam” hot tub at Hadlie’s home. Four members of the Sparks Fire Department arrived in a brand-new fire truck to fill it up.

“It’s just going to be amazing for her,” Tallman said. “It’s going to help her muscles, I think, for years. Hadlie will get to be with her favorite people — her family and closest friends — in the hot tub, which is good for her body and her muscles. And she’s just going to make incredible memories, seeing the lights and the waterfall.”

The hot tub comfortably seats four people, and the Make-A-Wish team brought a gift basket packed with toys for Hadlie to enjoy.

“When we heard that she likes taking baths and wanted a hot tub, we had to be a part of it,” said Kevin Thompson, sales manager for The Spa and Sauna Company.

This isn’t the first time The Spa and Sauna Company has partnered with Make-a-Wish Foundation to donate a hot tub.

The retail store is involved with a variety of other charitable organizations, and they say they are proud to help support their local community, which has supported them for more than 30 years.

They also participate in Toys for Tots, the Children’s Miracle Network, Big Brothers Big Sisters, sponsor and host a Duck Derby, and donate hot tubs to veterans and active-duty service members.
