Homeowner attacks pool contractor

A Florida swimming pool contractor was struck in the head with a baseball bat by his customer.

The incident occurred this April in North Fort Meyers at the home of 36-year-old Richard 'Anthony' Daniels, who was arrested following the attack.

According to the police report, Daniels got into an argument with a man he had hired to build his pool. The report states that Daniels asked the contractor to leave, but the man said he was hired to be there and refused to go.

Daniels then knocked a hat off the contractor's head, which fell into the pool. Then he went inside his home, where he retrieved a baseball bat and hit the contractor in the head.

The contractor went to the hospital with a large bump on his head, a bruised arm, and he said he is also suffering from migraines.

Daniels faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was released from jail on bond the day after the incident.
