CAN YOU TOP THIS?

Welcome to the latest edition of our popular “Can You Top This?” column, featuring the newest entry in the Service Industry News “Horror File. ”

This issue’s entry comes to us from Dave Durkin of D& M Electric Pool Repair in Antioch, California.

“Told a customer he needs to lock his fence!”, Dave writes.

“Make it self closing as per the code! The fence is broken and this his answer? — Car batteries.”

Dave, we would love to know what you did? In situations such as this, you should keep a record of what you said to the pool owner, make a recommendation to bring the pool up-to-code and if they refuse to do the work, quit the account otherwise things could get ugly if something should go wrong.

At Service Industry News, we would rather go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the type of stuff our readers encounter everyday — cracked tiles, spaghetti plumbing, rats in heaters, cars in the pool, snakes in the plumbing, and more!

When you are out in the field and you see something that doesn’t look right, send us an email along with a picture and a brief description: Attention Horror File, serviceindustrynewscd@yahoo.com.
