The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is proud to launch Industry Ambassadors, an initiative designed to foster grassroots advocacy and strengthen the industry's voice at the local, state, and regional levels. As a PHTA Industry Ambassador, you will be the forefront representative and advocate for the pool and hot tub sector, engaging with policymakers and key decisionmakers to communicate the interests, challenges, and perspectives of our industry.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping legislation and regulations that impact our community by providing firsthand insight and expert knowledge. Industry Ambassadors are the bridge between PHTA and governmental entities, ensuring that the concerns and positions of PHTA members are clearly heard and considered in the public policy arena.
Considerations for Industry Ambassadors:
• Professional Experience: You should have a solid background in the pool and hot tub industry or a closely related field, with a minimum of two years of professional experience.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential, including the capacity to effectively convey complex industry-related information to a variety of audiences.
• Networking Savvy: You need to be adept at building and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials.
• Knowledge of Government Process: A working understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at the local, state, or regional level is vital, as is the ability to track and interpret relevant developments.
• Advocacy Aptitude: Experience with or a strong interest in advocacy, with the skill to persuasively present and promote PHTA's positions and interests.
• Availability: As a volunteer, you must be willing and able to engage with government and legislative bodies as needed, which may include attending meetings, hearings, and industry events.
• Commitment to PHTA's Mission: A passion for advancing PHTA's mission and a commitment to upholding the values and ethics of the organization in all advocacy activities.
Serving as an Industry Ambassador is a voluntary role ideally suited to individuals who are passionate about the pool and hot tub industry, are proactive in community engagement, and are eager to take on the responsibility of representing the industry at a higher level.
